Build one of the most recognizable early-war American fighters with the Airfix 1/48 Curtiss P-40B Warhawk.
Powered by the Allison V-1710 engine, the early P-40B featured the distinctive short, pointed nose that set it apart from later Warhawk variants. The type saw combat during the opening stages of World War II and became especially famous through its service with the American Volunteer Group (AVG) “Flying Tigers” in China.
Airfix’s 1/48 kit captures the characteristic lines of the early Warhawk with detailed surface features, a well-appointed cockpit and a variety of optional-position parts. The kit contains 106 plastic components and includes two historically significant marking options, allowing modelers to build either an aircraft associated with the defense of Pearl Harbor or one of the famous AVG Flying Tigers.
