Build one of the finest piston-engined fighters of the post-war era with the Airfix 1/72 Hawker Tempest Mk.V Post War.
Developed from the Hawker Typhoon, the Tempest featured a thinner laminar-flow wing, improved aerodynamics and the powerful Napier Sabre engine. The result was one of the fastest and most capable Allied fighters at low and medium altitude, with the Tempest proving highly effective against both conventional Luftwaffe aircraft and V-1 flying bombs during the closing stages of World War II.
This Airfix boxing focuses on the Tempest’s post-war RAF service and includes two distinctive 1946 marking options based in Germany. With 72 parts, finely rendered surface detail and an approachable Skill Level 2 rating, it offers a great balance of detail and straightforward construction.
