Ak Interactive Corrosion Texture

AK Interactive Corrosion Texture is a water-based acrylic product designed to create realistic rusted and corroded metal surfaces on scale models and dioramas. It features a gritty, textured formula that replicates the rough, pitted look of oxidized steel and aged metal.

The product can be applied directly from the jar using a brush or spatula to build up texture on armor plates, exhausts, tools, industrial structures, ship hulls, and abandoned vehicles. Varying the thickness of application allows you to control the intensity of the corrosion effect, from light surface rust to heavy, flaking decay.

Once dry, it can be painted over with acrylics, enamels, or oils to add tonal variation and depth. It works especially well when combined with washes, dry brushing, or additional rust tones to enhance realism. The surface dries hard and adheres well to plastic, resin, wood, and other common modeling materials.
