AK Interactive light & dry crackle Effects

AK Interactive Light & Dry Crackle Effects is a ready-to-use acrylic texture designed to create realistic cracked earth surfaces for dioramas, vignettes, and scenic bases. This product replicates the look of dried, parched ground often seen in arid climates, riverbeds, deserts, and sun-baked terrain.

The formula is easy to apply straight from the jar using a brush or spatula. As it dries, natural cracks form across the surface, with finer, more subtle cracking compared to heavier crackle products. The thickness of the application determines the size and depth of the cracks, allowing you to control the final effect depending on your scene.

It adheres well to plastic, wood, plaster, foam, and other common modeling surfaces. The finish can be left as is for a light, dry soil appearance or further enhanced with washes, pigments, or dry brushing to add depth and variation. Once fully dry, it can be sealed with varnish for additional protection.
